Which day is cheapest to fly to Ibiza?

At the moment, Monday is the most economical day to take a flight to Ibiza. Thursday is likely to be the most costly.

Ibiza Airport is the main gateway to two of the Balearic Islands – Ibiza and Formentera. The airport is 7km (4.3 miles) southwest of Ibiza, and although the island is small, its popularity as a summer party destination ensures passenger numbers of around five million passengers each year.

About 85 per cent of the visitors to Ibiza arrive between May and October. If you’re there at the right time (and in the right mood), you can catch some of the world’s best trance, house, and techno deejays performing all through the summer.

Alternatively, you can take one of the many guided tours through the city and surrounds, many parts of which have been declared world heritage sites.

The airport is quite small, with only one terminal building, and getting into town is easy enough using either the buses or taxis. Aside from grabbing a bite to eat, or getting a beer at the bar, there isn’t a whole lot to do at the airport itself.

How long is the flight to Ibiza?

Flights to Ibiza from the United Kingdom range from about 2.5h-13h. The length of your flight will depend on several factors. If you’re flying out of London, its southern location and likelihood of servicing a direct flight means you can enjoy a flight on the shorter end of this range. However, if you’re traveling from northern England out of an airport that does not offer direct flights to Ibiza, like from Newcastle, your flight will likely be several hours and have a stopover or two.

Where can you get direct flights to Ibiza from?

If you’re flying out of London Gatwick, you can enjoy daily direct flights to Ibiza provided by airlines like easyJet, Ryanair, British Airways, and Iberia. If your departure city is in Scotland, Ryanair also provides non-stop flights to Ibiza from Edinburgh, while Thomas Cook Airlines and TUI Airways provide direct flights from Glasgow. From Manchester, direct flights are also serviced by TUI and Thomas Cook. Should you book a flight that is not direct, common layover cities en route to Ibiza you may experience include London City Airport, Dublin, and Valencia.

How do you get from Ibiza airport(s) to the city centre?

Ibiza Airport (IBZ), also known as Aeroport d’Eivissa, is the main airport serving the Balearic Islands, and it’s here you’ll fly into when alighting from the UK. The airport is about 6km from Ibiza city centre and you’ll have a couple of options for reaching central Ibiza from here. Airport taxis are plentiful outside the terminals, and you can take a taxi for about £30, with a journey time of about 15 minutes. You can also opt for a ride on a local bus, the L10, which departs the airport every 20-30 minutes. It costs about £3 and will take about 20 minutes to reach Ibiza city centre.

What are some things to do in Ibiza?

Ibiza is a popular island destination for holidays in the Mediterranean Sea. A visit to Dalt Vila, a UNESCO World Heritage site, will transport you to the 16th century, thanks to its massive renaissance fortification erected to keep Berber pirates at bay. If you’re in the mood for a peaceful day at the beach, a trip to Talamanca will surround you with white sandy beaches and a slew of tasty local restaurants. It’s also much quieter than many of Ibiza’s other beaches. As much as it is for its thriving nightlife, Ibiza is also known for its spas, so be sure to locate one in or near your hotel and treat yourself to a day of indulgence while enjoying the gorgeous sea and countryside that surrounds you.
