Getting around Limerick

Getting around the city is easy and cheap to do.  Public bus services can take you out of the city centre to nearby towns and villages while bikes can be rented if you prefer to use pedal power.  The great thing about Limerick is that most of the major attractions are within walking distance of the city centre so booking accommodation in town is considered to be the best option.

Getting from the Airport to the City

Fights to Limerick are served by Shannon International Airport which is situated around 18 miles north of Limerick.  It’s well serviced by coach, bus and car rental options which can all be found just outside the main airport terminal.  It should take about 30 minutes to get to Limerick City whichever type of transport you choose.  If you take a taxi, do remember to agree a price before setting off.
