Which airlines operate flights to Romania?

Blue Air and Wizz Air are the main two airlines that provide cheap flights to Romania. They are both budget airlines and as such don’t expect luxury of any kind. That said the flights to Romania are generally comfortable once you’ve found your seat. You’re not assigned seats at check-in so it can be a little difficult to find yourself seats together if you’re not travelling alone. Both offer cheap flights to Romania though so it’s mainly your own preference on which one to travel with. You can also find some cheap flights to Romania with Ryanair so these might be an option if you’re not too keen on Wizz Air or Blue Air. Keep an eye on the price of checked-in luggage as during the Summer some budget airlines really overcharge for the luxury.

How to get from the airport to the city centre?

The 780 Express lines connects Bucharest airport with the city centre and is probably the safest and easiest way to travel. It’s cheap and efficient and you can find the bus from the airport. The only other option is to jump in a taxi. It is highly recommended to book a taxi in advance before you travel and if you feel the need, give them a password to tell you once you land. Fake taxi drivers run rampant in Romania and you can get very confused quickly and end up in a dodgy vehicle so make sure to keep your wits about you and refuse all drivers unless you have either booked it in advance or have made sure it is a legit taxi.
